Parkside and FHLB Des Moines Award $400,000 to Local Nonprofits Through Member Impact Fund
At Parkside Financial Bank & Trust, community involvement is more than a corporate initiative. It reflects the passions, commitments, and service of our employees. That is why we are proud to announce the distribution of $400,000 in Member Impact Fund grants to 15 nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference throughout the St. Louis region.
Made possible through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines), these grants will support organizations dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods, expanding opportunities, and improving quality of life across our community. The awards recognize nonprofits that have earned the support of Parkside employees through volunteerism, board service, fundraising efforts, and charitable giving throughout the year.
The Member Impact Fund is a matching grant program administered by FHLB Des Moines that helps member financial institutions amplify their charitable impact. Through the program, FHLB Des Moines provides matching funds to eligible nonprofit and community organizations focused on affordable housing, community development, and initiatives that strengthen local communities. By combining the resources of member institutions with additional funding from FHLB Des Moines, the program creates opportunities for greater and more lasting community impact.
The organizations receiving grant support through Parkside's 2026 Member Impact Fund participation are:

Each of these organizations plays a unique role in addressing critical community needs, including workforce development, youth education, housing stability, community revitalization, support for veterans, family services, and economic opportunity. Together, they represent the spirit of service and innovation that helps make the St. Louis region stronger and more resilient.
What makes these awards especially meaningful is the direct connection between the recipient organizations and Parkside employees. Rather than selecting recipients solely through an application process, the grants were awarded to organizations that our employees actively support through volunteer leadership, hands-on service, advocacy, and charitable contributions. Their dedication reflects Parkside's belief that strong communities are built through personal engagement and long-term relationships.
We are grateful to FHLB Des Moines for its partnership and commitment to strengthening communities throughout its district. Through programs like the Member Impact Fund, financial institutions and nonprofit organizations can work together to create measurable outcomes for the people and neighborhoods they serve. Since launching the program in 2023, FHLB Des Moines has directed significant funding toward community development and affordable housing initiatives across its member footprint, helping multiply the impact of local giving.
At Parkside, we believe that meaningful partnerships create meaningful change. We are honored to support these outstanding organizations and grateful for the opportunity to invest alongside FHLB Des Moines in the future of our community.
Thank you to each of our nonprofit partners for the important work you do every day and thank you to our employees whose commitment to service continues to embody what it means to be an uncommon partner.
